Days come, and days go;
Where they go, who knows?
Sometimes I am conscious, other times unconscious;
Sometimes sleeping, other times awake.

Where was I long ago when I appeared;
And why did I come— I have forgotten.
Oh, this much only I know:
More than I, He knows.

My needs and my plans—
All are fulfilled in the mind of Him alone.
