On love's chariot of light
Oh You riding, Who arrived?
What I could not imagine,
Now just that You let transpire.
In hope of advent I had waited;
I had called for ages after ages.
Weeping and weeping, I'd expressed:
"Inert and oblivious, useless to abide!"
I had thought: "You don't listen;
Is it that You reside very distant?"
But on life You apply love's pollen
Simply when going Yourself nigh.
