In a mundane prison

(3301) Andhakare ghumiye chilum

In gloomy darkness asleep had I been;
Piercing the ignorance You appeared.
I'd been stricken with a worldly hunger;
The taste of ambrosia You did bring.

Many days have passed, left have nights aplenty
To my darkness there has been no ending.
With thunderous proclamation, smiling and heartening,
You wakened a lukewarm, passionate feeling.

I flash a glance, my gloom's intensity has gone;
In life has arrived a brightly colored dawn.
My narrowness, oh Divine Lord,
You withdrew from me.
